As a protected nature reserve covering an area of 110 km², Saona is part of the Cotubanamá National Park – and also the most important turtle nesting site in the Dominican Republic.

Your Day with Us

- Pickup at the cruise port in La Romana

- Ride to the port in Bayahibe in an air-conditioned minibus

- Snorkeling at the “Atlantic Princess” shipwreck

- Drive along the coast to the mangroves; with a little luck, we’ll see sea turtles there

- Snorkeling stop in Catuano

- Around noon, we’ll arrive in the village of Mano Juan and visit the turtle conservation project there

- Lunch buffet with an ocean view (weather permitting)

- Swimming at the idyllic “Playa El Toro” beach

- Visit to the “Piscina Natural” and the opportunity to observe starfish in their natural habitat

- Return trip to the port of Bayahibe

- Return to your cruise ship
